Plessinger: "I Don't Want to Talk About My Riding Too Much. I Just Want to Say Thank You to These Two."

Aaron Plessinger has become the people's champion of the professional paddock, and he proved that again over the weekend at the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations in England. His own rides were okay, with 7-8 moto finishes for fourth overall in the Open Class. It was better, at least, than his previous two MXoN rides at RedBud in 2018 and last year in France.
But Aaron didn't want to make any noise about that. He knew on this day his teammates, Eli Tomac and Cooper Webb, needed all the praise.
"After getting lapped the two times I’d raced here before, it feels awesome," said Plessinger in the post-race press conference. "But I don’t want to talk about my riding too much. These two guys beside me, to have them step up and do this race at such short notice…these two guys have only done a handful of outdoor races. They didn’t have to do this. They could have been chilling at home and just hanging out. I just want to say thank you to these two. We came up just a little bit short, but I’m really proud of these two."
